One of our most favorite foods is Burger/Rice and Corn This is a great option that will be even better the next day.
2 lbs Ground Beef
2 cans of whole kernel corn
1 bag of rice (I buy boil in bag white rice)
3-4 seasoning packets from Ramen noodles chicken flavor
(cook time approx 15 mins.)
Cook burger and rice in two separate pots at the same time. Drain both. Mix everything: beef, rice, corn and seasoning packets into 1 pot. You may want to add about 1/4 cup of water to mixture. Heat on low for about 2 minutes until corn is fully heated. Serves about 4 adults. In our case 2 adults and 3 children with a small amount of leftovers. So if you want the great left overs you will want to make a double batch. The family loves to eat it with cottage cheese and applesauce.
Some of you may be wondering what about the noodles in the package. No, they don't go to waste. I, myself love to eat them cooked with a little bit of butter and salt.
